Faremongers Privacy Policy

Depending on your interaction, we collect contact and passenger details, itinerary preferences, booking references, transaction records and correspondence. Passenger details may include legal name, date of birth and passport or nationality information required to arrange travel. We obtain information from you, an authorized person booking for you, airlines, reservation suppliers and payment or verification providers.

Payment processing involves billing and transaction information and payment details handled through the payment services used for your purchase. Do not send card security codes or unnecessary identity documents in ordinary messages.

Technical records may include IP address, device and browser information, access times, pages visited and referral information. Cookie-based collection is described in our Cookie Policy. Information about assistance needs may reveal health or other sensitive information; provide only what is necessary to arrange the requested assistance.

Support records may include emails and chat transcripts. If a call is recorded, we provide the required notice and obtain consent where required. Recordings, where used, support service quality, transaction verification and dispute handling.

We use information to quote and arrange travel, issue tickets, communicate changes, manage requested cancellations or refunds, process payments and provide support. We also use necessary information to secure our systems, detect fraud, keep accounting records and handle complaints or legal claims.

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract or steps you request before it, legal obligations, legitimate interests where permitted and appropriately balanced, or consent. Sensitive information and optional marketing are processed on the additional grounds required by applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not invalidate earlier lawful processing.

We disclose relevant information to airlines, consolidators and reservation systems to arrange and manage travel. These recipients may process information independently under their own policies and legal duties.

Providers assisting with payments, hosting, security, communications and support receive information needed for their services under appropriate arrangements. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, authorities where lawful, or parties to a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not authorize service providers to use entrusted information for unrelated purposes contrary to our agreements.

Where permitted and subject to any required consent, we may send offers for Faremongers services. You can unsubscribe using the mechanism provided or contact care@faremongers.com. Marketing preferences do not stop necessary messages about an existing booking, a security matter or your request. We do not make consent to optional marketing a condition of buying travel services.

Travel arrangements can require disclosure to organizations in the destination country and other countries involved in booking, support or technology services. Privacy protections may differ by country. Where a law requires safeguards for cross-border transfers, we use the applicable transfer mechanism or lawful exception. You may contact us to ask about safeguards relevant to your information.

We retain information for the period needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable accounting, legal, fraud-prevention and dispute requirements. Booking and transaction records may need to remain after a journey ends. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified, subject to lawful retention requirements and backup cycles.

We use safeguards appropriate to the information and risks, including access restrictions and security measures for systems and service providers. No system can guarantee absolute security. Contact us promptly if you believe your information or account has been compromised.

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access to, a copy of, correction or deletion of your information; withdraw consent; object to or restrict certain processing; or opt out of covered targeted advertising, sale or sharing. Some rights have exceptions, such as keeping records required by law. You may also have a right to appeal a refusal or complain to a privacy regulator.

Send requests to care@faremongers.com, identifying the right you want to exercise. We may ask for proportionate verification and evidence of an agent’s authority. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any lawful refusal. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Our booking services are directed to adults. An adult may provide information about a child traveling on a reservation where authorized to do so. We use that information for the travel arrangements and related lawful requirements. Contact us if a child has provided information independently so that we can review and address it.

External websites and airlines have their own privacy practices. Review their notices when dealing with them. We may revise this Policy when practices or requirements change, showing the effective date and providing any additional notice or consent process required by law.
